Our History
A mother-daughter story that began in Venezuela in 1999
Some stories are born from an idea. Ours was born from the desire to succeed.
In 1999, in Venezuela, I, Glory, was expecting my first daughter. Isabella was about to enter the world and, with her, a new chapter full of excitement, uncertainty, and, above all, a tremendous desire to improve myself and build something of my own.
That's how our first jewelry store was born.
And shortly after, Isabella was born.
That's why we like to say that Jargón and Isabella practically grew up together.
From a very young age, jewelry was part of our daily lives. Among display cases, boxes, customers, new collections, and long working days, we built much more than a business. Without realizing it, we were creating a story that, years later, we would end up sharing as mother and daughter.
For years, our jewelry store grew with us in Venezuela. There we learned the value of every customer, the excitement of seeing them return, and that very special bond that can exist with a piece of jewelry: because there are pieces we simply like, and others that end up reminding us of a person, a trip, a celebration, or a stage in our lives.
But our story also had to learn how to start over.
In 2017, the situation in Venezuela led us to leave our country behind and start a new life in Tenerife. We left our home, our routine, and the business we had built over so many years.
We had to leave many things behind, but there was one thing that traveled with us: our love for jewelry and the desire to start over.
From Venezuela to Tenerife: the beginning of a new Jargón
Emigrating meant rebuilding our lives practically from scratch. And, while we were finding our place in a new country, our understanding of jewelry also began to change.
Over the years, Isabella began to develop sensitivity and allergic skin reactions when wearing certain pieces of jewelry. Finding beautiful pieces she could wear with peace of mind stopped being a matter of fashion and became a necessity.
And that's where we found Jargón's new purpose.
We began to focus on hypoallergenic jewelry and stainless steel jewelry, looking for pieces that combined what had always passionate us—design, trends, and the ability to express ourselves through accessories—with something that had become essential to us: being able to enjoy them even with sensitive skin.
What began as a personal experience ended up becoming one of the core reasons for our brand's existence.
Because we know how frustrating it can be to fall in love with a pair of earrings or a necklace and discover that your skin can't tolerate them. That's why we want to show that having sensitive skin shouldn't mean giving up the jewelry that makes you feel like yourself.
Two generations, two cities, and the same passion
Many years have passed since that new beginning in Tenerife.
Jargón has been growing little by little, the way we like it best: building relationships, getting to know our customers, and reaching more and more corners. Today our hypoallergenic jewelry is available in pharmacies and various retail locations across Spain, something that still excites us when we remember how we started.
But perhaps the most beautiful thing about our story is seeing what that project, which began with a mother waiting for her daughter, has become.
Today, we are the two who built Jargón.
We share our love for jewelry, although each of us sees it from her own perspective.
Glory continues to develop the essence most closely linked to hypoallergenic jewelry from the Canary Islands, working closely with pharmacies and retail locations to bring our pieces to women looking for beautiful, versatile jewelry designed for sensitive skin.
Isabella, from Madrid, brings a perspective more closely linked to fashion, trends, and new ways of discovering a brand. Pop-ups, events, social media, and our online store become a different way of bringing Jargón to new people.
And we believe that is precisely where our essence lies.
We are mother and daughter. We are two generations. We have different styles and perspectives, but we share the same passion that started this story more than 25 years ago.
Much more than jewelry
Jargón has lived many lives.
It was born in Venezuela.
It started over in Tenerife.
It grew among pharmacies and retail locations.
And today it also travels the streets and pop-ups of Madrid.
But after so many years, there is one thing that remains intact: the excitement with which we choose each piece.
Because to us, a piece of jewelry is never just a piece of jewelry.
It can be that necklace you don't take off all summer. The earrings you wore on a date you will always remember. A piece that was given to you and that, somehow, takes you back to that person every time you put it on.
Jewelry accompanies us as we live our story.
And perhaps that is why this brand means so much to us: because Jargón has also accompanied us through ours.
From a young pregnant mother who dreamed of building something of her own in Venezuela to a mother and daughter who, more than 25 years later, are still dreaming together from different places in Spain.
We don't know where Jargón will take us in another 25 years.
What we do know is that we want to keep being there, being part of your days, your trips, your celebrations, and all those little stories that one day become memories.
